Ecology of Mammalian Carnivores
Client: Integral Ecology Research Center

MGW is providing logistical support for Integral Ecology Research Center, a local non-profit 501c(3) organization, to conduct a disease ecology project on the prevalence and distribution of diseases affecting mid-sized, mammalian carnivores in Northwestern California. Analyses are being performed using polymerase chain reaction (PCR) amplification of DNA and immunofluorescent antibody assay to the pathogens on live-trapped carnivores. Research began in March of 2003 and will continue for the next several years.
